SWAT: At least 19 people were injured on Wednesday when an over-speeding pick-up they were travelling in plunged into a trench near Swat’s Marghazar road, DawnNews reported.

The accident took place when the pick-up lost control due to failed brakes and fell into a trench.

The victims included three children.

Police personnel and rescue teams reached the site of the accident and began shifting the injured to a nearby hospital.

Fatal road accidents are common in Pakistan, where traffic rules are rarely enforced and roads in many rural areas are in poor condition.
