NOTWITHSTANDING the zero-tolerance policy of the government, the clerical staff of Pakistan Post is exploiting people who are already suffering under high inflation.

Extra money is demanded in almost every branch on every service provided by the Pakistan Post.

Worth mentioning are postal orders, stamps, postal envelopes and UMS where one has to give Rs5 to Rs30 additionally on each item. Most of the staff are in a habit of not giving back the returnable amount, if you give them a big note, with the excuse they don’t have change. Worse scenarios are seen at the post office at the Punjab University new campus, Lahore, Kashmir Block, Allama Iqbal Town branch, Lahore, and the post office near Samanabad Mor.

The Punjab chief minister and other higher authorities are requested to take stern action for the benefit of helpless people.
