Blast damages wall of Karachi madrassah

KARACHI: A high intensity blast shock the outer wall of a seminary located in Gulshan-e-Iqbal near Main University Road on Monday evening but no loss of life was reported.

DawnNews reported that police and Rangers personnel reached the spot after the loud blast and currently an investigation is underway.

According to SP Gulshan-e-Iqbal, one and half kg of explosive material was used in the bomb which was placed right outside the seminary.

To increase its intensity and cause more damage, the bomb was laced with metal chips and nut bolts, the police official said.
