QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Mohammad Khan Achakzai said on Tuesday that no society could progress without giving quality education to the youth, especially girls.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the Tameer-i-Nau Trust’s girls high school here, he said there should be great focus on girls’ education. “Providing education to a girl is like educating a generation,” he added.

The governor said the Tameer-i-Nau Trust had established many best educational institutions and students produced by these institutions were playing very positive role in different sectors of the country.

He lauded the role of the trust in promoting girls’ education and hoped that it would give special attention to girls’ education in Balochistan.

He called upon girl students to focus on their education and take benefits of facilities being provided by these institutions.

The governor said teachers had a great role to play for the promotion of girls’ education.

He appreciated Prof Fazal Haq Mir, secretary of Tameer-i-Nau Trust, for his contribution to the education sector of the province.
