LAHORE: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan in collaboration with Dawn is organising an international conference titled 'Celebrating Women's Leadership' at the Johar Town Expo Centre on Thursday (today).

The conference will feature prominent woman leaders from the world of business, fashion, arts and culture, says a press release.

It includes a welcome address by TDAP Secretary Rabiya Javeri. A keynote address will be given by Josette Dikhuizen who is the representative of the women of the Netherlands to the UN General Assembly.

The first session is titled 'Financial independence changing the economic landscape'. Prominent speakers in this session will be Charmaine Hidayatullah (FWBL president), Dr Zeelaf Munir (EBM chairperson), Tahira Noon (Nurpur CEO) and Ayesha Bux (Pakistan Honorary Investment Consular to Australia).

The second session titled 'Empowerment through education' will have Nasreen Mahmud Kasuri (Beaconhouse chairperson), Sajida Vandal (THAAP Crafts director), Khadija Bakhtiar (former CEO of Teach for Pakistan) and Shireen Arshad Khan (AHAN chairperson) as speakers.

The conference will be held from 9am to 2pm.
