LAHORE: A judicial magistrate at Model Town Courts on Tuesday summoned Umar Akmal in a case pertaining to cricketer's row with a traffic warden.

A deputy prosecutor told the magistrate that both parties had reconciled. He, however, could not explain absence of Akmal.

The magistrate asked the prosecutor to cite any law which exempted an accused from personal appearance in the court after reaching a settlement with the complainant. He adjourned the hearing till March 14 and issued summons for Akmal.

Gulberg police had registered a case against the cricketer for violating traffic signal and beating a warden.
