The ttp wants to change the system of goverment as well as the ecnomic system of the country. They have denied to have dialogue within the parameters of constitution. The fiftefn points are totally against the constitution and are likely to make the country isolated in the world. How the committe is to discuss with them ? It seems very odd .

My response to each point; 1) Stop drone attacks - Agreed, but to root out taliban, surgical strikes should be taken. 2) Introduce Sharia law in courts - already in place via shariat courts. 3) Introduce Islamic system of education in both public and private educational institutions. - already in place as Islamiyat is compulsory - that is sufficient, for those who want a totally madrassah style learning, go join madrassahs, dont send your kids to other schools.. 4) Free Pakistani and foreign Taliban captured in jails - Put them on a public trial - criminals must be punished. 5) Restoration and remuneration for damage to property during drone attacks - claim that from US. 6) Hand over control of tribal areas to local forces - Yes, if only local forces means "state forces". 7) Withdrawal of army from tribal areas and close down check posts - impossible, our army has right to stay on an inch of the country;s property under threat. 8) All criminal allegations held against the Taliban to be dropped - this is an UnIslamic request - Qasas should be practised for the innocents killed by taliban, 9) Prisoners from both sides to be released - that can be agreed, provided Taliban apologise and pay Khon Bahaa as per Islamic principles. 10) Equal rights for all, poor and rich - agreed. 11) Families of drone attack victims to be offered jobs - agreed. 12) End interest based system - come with an alternative before that. 13) Stop supporting the US on the war on terror - agreed. 14) Replace the democratic system of governance with the Islamic system - the democratic system is an islamic system. If they demand stuff for their people killed in drone strike than we are demanding justice in court for our people who killed in taliban attacks. Knock them off and do a decisive action.

The 15 point agenda does not include a point to address how minorities will live in Pakistan under the TTP agenda if agreed by the parties.

It is surpirsing to see 5 of the 15 demand are focussed on US and Drone attacks(No wonder they love the world famous fast bowler!) Only question though is move from democratic system to islamic system. How does that work? Is saudi arabia a good example of that? So only work left for Pakistan is to re-package the democracy into some kind of Islamic system and everybody will be happy. whether that is going to help Pakistan is a very different question?

They could be following. 1-Lay down your arms. 2-Accept the Pakistan constitution and obey it 3-Bring any changes through the democratic way 4-Pay to the victims families and any damage to the civilian and military properties. 5-Integrate tribal areas to main land Pakistan 6-Expel all foreign born terrorist ( including Afghans) from their territory. 7-Guarantee the safeguard of minorities and their places of worships. 8-Guarantee the free access to education of women. 9-No attacks on the neighboring countries from their areas. 10. Non starter. Are these people living in a real world ? Uneducated; illiterate; Ignorant & arrogant. Force is the only thing they understand, and therefore the Government must deal with them with force. No prisoner taking.

.... In other words, isolate us from the rest of the world and bring us back to the stone ages! Sharia laws were written centuries ago and were written by men - they are not God's command. A lot has changed over the centuries and unless we keep up with the new trend, we will not be able to survive. This is not to say that we should compromise our values and morals. It just means we cannot keep the same thinking, where women are considered "properties", girls are not allowed education, music/television shows are not allowed, so on and so forth. Strictly following Sharia laws has not helped any country succeed. We are a Muslim country, but we should also be tolerant towards other religions. We should encourage our citizens to get education, without which our thinking capacity stays limited. Without education, we are vulnerable to being brainwashed by extremists. It is a waste of time to negotiate with these extremists - nothing good will ever come out of it. They can only learn one way - and that is by force. Pakistan has the capability to apply their might on them - for the sake of our country - I sure hope they use it.

Again subject to trial and case by case. 10) Equal rights for all, poor and rich. Yes. Agree 11) Families of drone attack victims to be offered jobs. Yes agree 12) End interest based system. Yes easy. Agree 13) Stop supporting the US on the war on terror. Yes Agree 14) Replace the democratic system of governance with the Islamic system. Islamic system is democratic. So only question of clarification 15) Stop all relations with the US. Yes agreed. Subject to commitments already entered into.

If Sharia Law is brought in can we start by implementing it on the TTP first, particularly the bit about murder of innocents.

While they are at it why not hand over entire Pakistan to them so that they can have their lunatic ideas of Islam by force imposed over the Pakistani people. They were not at all serious about talks. They will undermine authority of Pakistani government armed forces, free will of Pakistani people. Terrorists are just buying time to recollect, reorganize and consolidate their forces. Pakistan has many Ulemas to advise government where current laws are against Islam and what changes should be made to agree with teachings of Islam. Given the conduct of Taliban that are all against Islam, government does not need their advice in Islamic matters.

Well, if Taliban have so many issues with Pakistan then why don't they leave Pakistan and live someplace else.

The intellectual bottom-line of the TTP is becoming more and more evident as the negotiations move forward. The 15 points ridiculous draft for talks clearly suggests that they do not know what they want. They are demanding a stop to the drone attacks. They should know that the drones are there because of them. If they were bold enough and fighting against US forces in Afghanistan and not holed up in North Wazirastan there were no drones. They should be responsible for the payment of money to the victims of drones attacks because it was because of them that innocent people died of drone strikes. Furthermore, their most of the demands has been the demands of the Pakistani people for many years anyway. They did not have to kill so many people to come to that point. They must know that they have blood of many innocent muslins on their hand regardless of their so called Islamic agenda. The can not fool people anymore.

Its so strange to see current goverment negotiating with the criminals who killed thousand of innocent people, killed our teachers, killed women, killed our army men, killed polio workers.Perhaps all the children of these politicians are safe and geting educated in Europe or USA. So why should they care. They will talk and hand over them all areas because the people of Pakistan are only supposed to die by criminal talibans while politicians can earn all money from Pakistanis to make their and their families living outside of pakistan. this is all a sideshow. the us govt has been pushing the idea of breaking up pakistan for a long time and now is a very good time to take it to the next level. the speech by a us congressman on baluchistan is not a coincidence. the call to implement islam in all aspects is a valid one though. after all the country was established for that same reason. it's a shame that no progress has been made on that front in the last 65yrs. and now it is being used as a bargaining chip. what a shame. the country has tried democracy, military rule, a mixture of the two but all has failed. we have moved back instead of moving forward. the people need islam as a system, just not the version pushed by certain groups.

Suggestion: Tell them that Gen. Musharraf will be appointed to command the team who will deal with them. See how quickly they will modify their demands.

Well TTP has come up with one good condition, give them another 500 years and they will come up with 14 other reasonable conditions. Never the less negotiations is the only solution.

Nothing will change untill the Pak-Afghan border is completely sealed. Army kills them and there will be more crossing the border into tribal areas from Afghanistan. Seal the border once you have the control over the tribal areas and peace will prevail.

TTP is leaving no option. These peace terms are basically demands for a surrender. Now, all Pakistanis should unite against Talibans and commit to a serious action to get rid off TTP elements once and forever. Pakistan will never see peace as long as Taliban lives. I have supported Imran Khan in his stance for peace talks. But, these demands show Talibans non-commitment to peace talks. It is time that Imran Khan re-shape his policy to full scale war against Talibans. Army has its own agenda and they will not fight this war seriously. Pakistanis will have to take charge of their own destiny.

Not all point are ingenuine, but most of the points needs rigorous negotiations to work out a Deal.

Whose sharia ??? They say you should be living example of what you preach. Except for bearing long beards what else is Shariaful in the conduct of those who demand for sharia? Im a PTI follower,i supported peace talk even though i didn't wanted to, but i believed in Imran Khan till the end, thought IK will stop the Taliban from killing our people through negotiation, cause he said that the Talibans wanted peace talk which are going to be unconditional, so all we have to do is just stop the drone attacks which are killing them and in return they kill us, if we stop the drones we'll have ceasefire from TTP, Now when the talks are finally in mode and now that they've put up these conditions and when i read them....... now im really pissed off. I take back my words, so no peace talk !, no negotiation !, this is our land !, we own it !, We have full autonomy, we can be whatever we want to be in our life, and will keep on enjoying it and wouldn't let any conservative force like TTP to rule us and manipulate our lives, so im sorry this is just unacceptable! i want this country to move forward to progress not backwards and so now i completely support military action, i want these criminals to be completely eliminated from the face of this earth. But not through drone attacks, i want them to be permanently stopped, cause they do kill our Waziri brothers in Fata. Its our nation!!, we protect it ourselves!!, not by getting help from some foreign country !!!,if we have criminals!!, gangs! and virus like Taliban! we deal with them ourselves, so say no to drone strikes ! I support full military action on the ground, and the army should take high civilian casualties measures before carrying it out, civilians from Fata should be completely evacuated so they wouldn't get killed in the military operation and then when they are done evacuating them start wiping out the parasites aka Talibans which are infecting in Fata. Nonstop 24 hours operation !!! And if we get successful in curbing out these bastards,then get all the Mullah's and Mulanas who supported TTP , kill each and every single one of them, that they cease to exist and never return to life, just like how "Mustafa Kamal Atartuk" of Turkey did, he got rid of these Hajis, Mullahs who were getting in his way and look at where Turkey is now, on top of the world.
