QUETTA: Chief of the Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif visited Combat Training Area in Quetta Cantonment on Thursday, where anti-terrorism training was being imparted to personnel of the Balochistan Police and Balochistan Constabulary.

Commander Southern Command Lt Gen Nasser Khan Janjua and other senior officers were present on the occasion.

Currently, 200 personnel of police and Balochistan Constabulary are being imparted training by Pakistan Army’s Southern Command in Quetta.

The eight-week-long course here will conclude on February 7.

The Chief of the Army Staff appreciated the standard of training imparted by the team and enthusiasm displayed by the trainees.

He expressed the hope that the trained personnel would play an important role in combating the menace of terrorism in the province.
