KARACHI: A comprehensive security plan for the Sindh Festival to be organised by the provincial culture and tourism department next month has been finalised, said a handout issued on Sunday

Inspector General Sindh Police Shahid Nadeem Baloch was informed that all necessary arrangements for the festival had been completed.

A report submitted to the IGP said that effective measures for intelligence collection and sharing would also be taken by the law enforcement agencies at the programme venues in Karachi, Hyderabad, Sukkur, Mirpurkhas and Larkana.

It said that the parking lots for the people coming to the festival would also be set up at a distance from the main venue and strict vigilance of parking sites would also be ensured. And targeted actions, snap-checking and patrolling would also be carried out in sensitive areas.—APP
