NAROWAL: Five members of a family died in a road accident near village Bhajna on Narowal-Shakargarh Road on Monday.

Three others were also injured and hospitalised when their van crashed into a roadside mosque.

Sheikh Abdur Razzaq and his brother, Ashfaq, residents of Chowk Hakeeman in Shakargarh, landed at Lahore airport from Saudi Arabia after an Umrah journey.

They were traveling with their family members in a van when its tyre burst near Bhajna village and the van crashed into the wall of a roadside mosque.

Ashfaq, Imran Ali, Ejaz Ahmed and driver Fiaz died on the spot while Farida Bibi, Sheikh Abdur Razzaq, Sheikh Shehzad and Maqbool got serious injuries. The injured were shifted to DHQ Hospital, but Farida Bibi was received dead at hospital.
