Unwanted sms

Published December 25, 2013

THE nuisance of these incoming unwanted messages on mobile phones is increasing day by day.

It is time the PTA took it up with the mobile companies to find a solution to stop these unwanted messages.

This can be done by mobile companies allocating web sites or mobile numbers for consumers to check advertisements or entertainment sites registered with them.

The mobile companies should understand the anguish a consumer goes through when an unwanted sms disturbs the consumer at 2am.

Mobile companies must not forget that consumers are their customers and while these companies spend billions to attract them through advertisements, it is their prime obligation to provide only relevant service to their users.
