SANGHAR, Dec 15: A man was killed and a woman injured on Sunday on the pretext of Karo-kari in Sattar Kundhani village, within the remit of the Pirumal police station.
The dead was identified as Nizam Kundhani and the injured woman as Shahnaz Kundhani. The victim hailed from Jam Nawaz Ali taluka and was married to the sister of injured Shahnaz.
According to the police, the victim was allegedly shot dead by the woman’s brother, Ramzan Kundhani, who then attacked Shahnaz with an axe.
The attacker was arrested with the murder weapon.
The body was taken to the civil hospital and then handed over to the heirs.
