KARACHI: 14mgd water shortfall

KARACHI, July 9: The Karachi Water and Sewerage Board on Sunday notified that the KESC would work on upgrading and improvement of Valika Grid Station during which power supply to Hub Pumping Station would be suspended from 10am to 2pm on Monday.

The KWSB notification stated that the power suspension at Hub Pumping Station would result in shortfall of 14mgd water. Subsequently, water supply to few areas of Baldia, Lyari, Keamari and New Karachi towns would be affected.

In this regard, the KWSB appealed to the residents of affected to use water conservatively.—PPI
