PESHAWAR, Nov 27: A nine-member delegation of Itehad Kashtkaran and Zamindaran, led by its president Nisar Khan Khalil, called on NWFP minister for revenue, excise and taxation, Aminullah Khan Gandapur at his office here on Tuesday.

The delegation apprised the minister of the problems faced by the farmers. The minister listened to their problems sympathetically and assured that he would try to solve the problems.

The minister talking to the delegation said the government was taking all possible measures for the betterment of the common man, however, he said public cooperation and coordination was required in this regard.

He said while levying agriculture income tax the government would take the farmers  community into confidence prior to any  decision regarding taxes.

He also directed the officials of revenue department to discharge their duties honestly otherwise legal action would be taken against them.
