KANPUR: India sealed a consecutive sixth ODI series win after beating the West Indies by 5 wickets in the third and final ODI played at Kanpur on Wednesday.

West Indies batting first, were propelled to 263 runs with late flourishes from Darren Bravo and Darren Sammy .

In reply, Captain MS Dhoni lived up to his reputation as India's designated finisher after Shikhar Dhawan's blistering knock of 119 setting up India's victory.

Dhawan also became the fastest cricketer to score five ODI centuries.

The Indian team was well supported by both Yuvraj Singh and Suresh Raina with solid contributions of 55 and 43 each.

Among the bowlers, Ashwin was at the top of the heap, taking 2 for 45 in his ten overs. Kumar and Shami too were miserly enough, picking up one apiece, with averages around five.

For West Indies, Ravi Rampaul and Sunil Naraine stood out. While the former provided the early inroads, the latter bowled a stingy spell of 32 runs in 10 overs.
