PESHAWAR, Nov 4: Employees of various government departments on Monday blocked Sher Shah Suri Road against the drone attacks, proposed privatisation of national institutions and price hike. Pakistan Workers’ Confederation led the protest.

The protesters described killing of banned TTP chief a bid to derail talks process with Taliban.

They held banners and placards inscribed with demands for revisiting the Pak-US relations.

They also shouted against the drone attacks.

The demonstrators said the government should shun plans to privatise different national institutions and demanded of it to control price hike.

The demonstrators said Pakistan was passing through critical phase of its history and that dialogue with militants was a good omen for restoration of normalcy to the country.

All Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Workers Union central Chairman Gohar Taj, provincial chairman Mohammad Iqbal, provincial secretary Mustajab Mazdoor Yar and others also participated in the protest.
