LAHORE, Oct 11: Senior police officers and Bomb Disposal Squad experts revisited the blast site in Old Anarkali and collected more samples for forensic analysis.

The police also got hold of a CCTV footage from cameras installed near the site that showed an unidentified man carrying a shopping bag, a senior police official said.

He said the footage showed the suspect entering the Food Street at 11:31am and the blast occurred three minutes later. The police officers were clueless about the identity of the suspect.

Meanwhile, Old Anarkali police lodged an FIR of the blast under sections 302, 324, 427 and 520 of the Pakistan Penal Code besides including sections of the Anti-Terrorism Act on the complaint of its station house officer.

Mayo Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Zahid Pervaiz said one of the 16 injured in the blast was in a critical condition. He said 40-year-old Asad was shifted to the hospital shortly after the blast with multiple injuries. He was under treatment at the Intensive Care Unit, adding 10 of the injured had been discharged after initial treatment.

Meanwhile, the Inspector general of police called a meeting of senior police officials and discussed all possible options to nab the culprits.
