KARACHI, Oct 9: The commissioner of Karachi has said that the water supply project at the Mauripur truck stand has been completed with the efforts of the government.

He said the project was pending for the past eight years.

The commissioner said this while inaugurating the project and a tree plantation campaign at the truck stand, said a statement issued here on Wednesday.

The commissioner, Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqi, said that the present government wanted to provide maximum facilities to transporters, industrialists, traders, investors and practical efforts were being made in this regard.

Deputy commissioner of west Ghanwer Khan Leghari said 200 plants would be provided for plantation in the Mauripur truck stand and that the departments concerned would be provided support in maintaining cleanliness.—APP
