Saudi Arabia pledges Rs 20 million aid to Balochistan’s quake affected areas

ISLAMABAD: The first tranche of aid by Saudi Arabia for Pakistan’s earthquake affected areas was sent to Balochistan on Friday, DawnNews reported.

Eight containers carrying a total of 4000 packets of eatables were dispatched for the survivors of the earthquake today.

As its aid to the affected southwestern province, Saudi Arabia has decided to send aid of more than 20 million rupees for the victims of the earthquake.

Speaking to the media representatives at a press conference officiating the event, Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Pakistan Dr Abdul Aziz Ibrahimul Ghadir said his country stood beside Pakistan in the face of every hardship and challenge.

He added that 500 homes would also be constructed for the earthquake survivors, adding that more aid would be sent to the affected areas soon.

Parts of Balochistan were hit by a 7.7-magnitude earthquake on September 24, killing over 300 people. The quake had struck Balochistan’s Awaran and Kech districts and relief work was still underway in the area. Parts of the province were again struck by a 6.8-magnitude earthquake on September 30 and at least 15 people lost their lives as a result.

It is absolutely insult of our diginity and honour to accept these kind of crumbs from any country. I feel that Saudia Arabia has instulted us as nation with 20 millions Rs aid, any wealthy individual can spare this amount. Why we do not awake up and take our own responsibilities. We are being humiliated by the whole world because of a dead nation and criminal politicians. I wish you understand my fellow Pakistanies, please wake up. Thank you.

The money will be spend on madras to recruite fundimentalist in Balochistan as previous similler incidents of natural disasters were abused by Sudies. More madras will be built, more killings and violance will come out of this. Its a fact.

In other news, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Islamabad decided to donate its one day's lunch money totalling PKR 20 Million to the earth quake victims in Baluchistan

This is an insult to Saudi Arabia and more importantly an insult to Pakistan. I just couldn't believe the figures. So Saudi Arabia has given to Pakistan a total sum of 120,000 British Pounds (actually it comes to 117,000) in aid?. How generous of them. I remember Zardari gave a shrine in India a Million Dollars?. I think anyone with any self respect would give this money back to Saudi Arabia.
