LAHORE, Aug 26: The Quetta Express (23-Up/24-Down) has been named after Nawab Akbar Bugti to acknowledge the services rendered by the slain chief of Jamhoori Watan Party.

Railways Minister Saad Rafiq inaugurated Akbar Express at a ceremony at Lahore railway station on Monday.

He termed the renaming of an express train on the seventh anniversary of Nawab Akbar Bugti a positive step by the government to bring the Baloch brethren back into mainstream by granting them their rights. He said Nawab Bugti continued his struggle for the rights of Baloch people and for the cause of democracy.
