QUETTA: Two personnel of the Frontier Corps (FC) were injured when a roadside bomb exploded near their vehicle in the Brewery area here on Sunday.

An FC spokesman said a convoy of FC personnel was passing through the area when the explosive device was denoted by remote control.

The injured personnel were identified as Shakeel and Mohammad Amin.

They were taken to the Combined Military Hospital.

After the blast, the FC personnel carried out a search operation in the nearby Chiltan mountains and took eight suspects into custody. An LMG, some rocket launchers and three SMG magazines were recovered from their possession.
