ACCORDING to your news report (June 10), the Taliban beheaded two boys aged 10 and 16 on the suspicion of spying for the Afghan army.
Last year also in the same district of Kandahar they beheaded and skinned a 16-year-old boy, a six-year-old girl and a 12-year-old boy.
The Taliban are ruthless, savage and brutal. How dare they behead small children?
The civilised world should stand against them and eliminate them wherever they are. They deserve no mercy. They are barbarians.

Taliban is fast becoming a mindset. Those who raises their voice against these in-human barbaric terrorists are called 'liberals' and removed from whatever little civil society is left through brutal assasinations. Which God will permit the beheading of small children or wrapping bombs around the waist of 14 years old girl to blow up dozens of innocent people. Civil society has been systematically destoryed. We can do nothing to fight this terror. It is now imperative on our military - so powerful and so rich - to stop presiding over the destruction of whatever little is left of Pakistan to hunt these barbarians and kill them by thousands, otherwise, taliban will prevail and Pakistan will disintegrate.

The nation has remained destitute right from the beginning since mostly the public speakers and writers here are rascals and the people
who blindly believe and accept such vague matters are even greater idiots

Sorry Sir, our government is not yet ready to do that, and our army is not quite ready to to that either for the reasons only known to them and Allah.
Our mighty army (with NUKES and ultra modern weapons plus highly trained soldiers who are ten times more efficient than any neighboring country) can destroy these barbarians in a few hours. Every time there was a barbaric attack worse than before,on the innocents, nation hoped that this was the time when army would come and take action. Now Everybody is disappointed. They do not even have the courtesy to explain it to anyone of their inaction.

@ DR K. FIAZUDDIN Karachi...sir i think you either recentily shifted to pakistan or just started reading up on the taliban...they have been doing be headings for ages now and more commonly in our tribal belt....there are numerous accounts of beheading followed by hanging their bodies for hours at major road crossing ......they dont have a religion or any moral values yet our public and govt want to initiate peace talk which is sad and funny at the same time

"The civilised world should stand against them and eliminate them wherever they are."
The civilized world has been trying to do this for a long time and has failed miserably. The question we should try and answer is why?

@Agha Ata:
Sir, Army can do it, but what will happen when Supreme court will punish army generals for taking action against terrorists. Remember Laal Masjid saga, Supreme court is holding the army for killing terrorists. And with many top politicians supporting Taliban, it is a night mare situation for army.

Taliban and Al-Qaida are the mysterious forces that have shown grounds to Americans and their allies in Iraq and Afghanistan.....!!!!! Today even a common man knows about the ultra-modern technical powers, arms and air
command of US and its allies but what are these before Taliban and Al-Qaida ? The blind white powers who believe
as their Divine Right to invade upon any country have now realised where they are but our Pakistanies have not,
inspite of the fact that half of our country and 95 Thousand soldiers were left away at the mercy of the enemy without
fighting-NO EQUAL of this is known in post historic annals. So before being too much bostful, people must realise
what they are and where they are keeping in mind about the reaction of the American salt in our veins

But they are our own country men, our brothers. We can't fight against our own people. We must invite them to sit and talk with us and find a solution to our differences through negotiations.
It is all because of the drone attacks. Once that ends, all will be right.

I am sorry to say Pakistan seems to be doomed because its leaders have no gut to fight militants and terrorists. Even if their children and grand children are beheaded by militants and terrorists in front of their eyes, they are scared to death to do anything to stop them. Those who can do something are the Army but if Army on their own take any action, these naive politicians will put the Army on trial.

The killing of college going female students is justified by the Taliban as a means to protest some perceived wrong. And people want to believe them. There is no hope for these people who can not see the evil being perpetrated.

Currently Zee Marathi is showign a daily serial in Marathi about Ramabai from Konkan, who in the late 1800s spearheaded a movement to get Marathi Brahmin women educated. She started the first girls school in Pune where I now live. Its now been 100 years. Pune is the Oxford of India and you have students from all over India with girls free to live the way they want to. ( The North west of India however still remains socially backward especially in Haryana).
I feel so sad for the people of Afghanistan that they never had social reformists like India and perhaps Pakistan also had. I do feel that when the US Army leaves, Pakistan must make efforts to spearhead social reform in their neighbourhood. It will benefit Pakistani society too. Does this mean support for Taliban or not? Let readers decide.
