PIA’s Manchester-bound flight PK 709 carrying 308 people from Pakistan was diverted to an isolated runway on the outskirts of London. This was done under the guidance of two Typhoon fighter jets of the Royal Air Force.

This was caused due to petty arguments among eight members of a Pakistani family, including two British passengers of Pakistani origin. On intervention of the plane’s crew, these two threatened to ‘destroy the plane’. After an emergency landing, no explosive material was found.

This incident has brought bad publicity for PIA and our nation internationally.

It is requested that Pakistani visas of these two undesirable British nationals of Pakistani origin be cancelled and they should be banned from entering Pakistan for life or at least 10 years. This will avoid such incidents in the future.
