KARACHI, May 26: The People’s Youth Organisation (PYO) took out a ‘Bhutto Zindabad — Federation of Pakistan Zindabad rally’ on Sunday from the People’s Secretariat near the Quaid-i-Aazam’s mausoleum to the Karachi Press Club.

The participants in the procession reiterated their commitment with the PPP and Pakistan and held out assurance to support efforts to pave the way for peace in the city, said a party statement issued here on Sunday.

A large number of activists of PYO, the youth wing of the Pakistan People’s Party, riding motorcycles, rickshaws and cars reached the Peoples Secretariat and started a rally from there led by PYO Karachi division president Rauf Ahmed Nagori.

They were chanting slogans in favour of the party leadership.

Addressing the rally, Rauf Ahmed Nagori said: “We would not let the forces working against Pakistan’s democracy and its federation to succeed.”

He also said that it was an established fact that the PPP was the only party which represented the downtrodden class of Pakistan.

He expressed gratitude to all the participants from the PSF, Labour Wing, Lawyers Wing and specially those workers of PYO who turned the rally into a lively occasion with their zealous slogans and passion.—APP
