KARACHI, May 15: An introductory meeting of the newly constituted Sindh Human Rights Commission was held on Wednesday at the committee hall of the Sindh Assembly.
Presided over by the caretaker Minister for Women Development and Human Rights, Anis Haroon, the meeting was briefed about the functions of the commission that has a complaint cell, legal aid and awareness programmes. It was decided that the commission would take suo motu notice besides taking up petitions against human rights violation.—APP
