LAHORE, Jan 15: A 28year-old postal service employee was shot at and killed at his doorstep by his neighbour near Abdali Chowk in Sanatnagar on Sunday, police said.
Police quoting families and neighbour say motive for the shooting was a street quarrel between the children of both sides.
Islampura police say victim Nadeem Aftab and his neighbour Tabish, alias Nauna, exchanged arguments over their children' fight on Saturday.
On Sunday, Tabish and his nine accomplices arrived at Nadeem's and opened fire at him. Nadeem, who worked at the General Post Office, suffered fatal wounds and was later pronounced dead at Mayo Hospital.
Police registered a case against 10 people on the complaint of victim's mother, Waseem.
ACCIDENT: A 25-year-old man died under a train at Lahore Cantonment station Yard on Sunday.
Cantt Railway police said the victim, yet to be identified, was crossing the line with his motorcycle when he was hit by Karachi Express.
FOUND HANGED: A 30year-old factory worker was found hanged with a tree near Punju village of Kahna on Sunday.
Kahna police said the postmortem examination would determine if the victim committed suicide or he was murdered.
Police identified the victim as Mushtaq Ali of Mansehra who worked in a textile unit.
Police began investigation into the incident after shifting the body to morgue.
