Jamaat criticises JUI-F

PESHAWAR, Nov 12: Jamaat-i-Islami general secretary and former MNA Shabir Ahmed Khan has criticised Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F leader Senator Gul Naseeb Khan and described him as main hurdle in the way of revival of MMA.

The JI leader, in a statement on Saturday, said the JUI-F leader had been issuing anti-JI statements repeatedly while showing his sympathies to the PPP.

“Ideologically, Gul Naseeb belongs to PPP as he remained an active member of its students’ wing and had once lost elections to an Islami Jamiat Talba candidate in Jehanzeb College Swat,” Mr Shabir recalled.

By issuing statements against JI leaders, Qazi Hussain Ahmed and Sirajul Haq, he said the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F leader was further widening the gulf among the religious parties.

He said that JUI-F was still part of the government as its leaders were enjoying chairmanship of Kashmir Committee, Islamic Ideology Council and seat of the opposition leader in Senate.—Bureau Report
