KARACHI, Oct 19: Tension gripped the Muslim Town area of North Karachi on Wednesday where a previous night attack on a garment shop had left four people dead and another wounded.

Police said that markets remained closed as funeral prayers of three men were offered at Siddiq-i-Akbar mosque, situated near Nagan Chowrangi, and of the other victim at UP Mor.

Meanwhile, the shop's co-owner, Mohammad Zia, lodged an FIR (531/2011) at the Sir Syed police station against unidentified suspects under Sections 302 (premeditated murder) and 34 (common intention) of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Meanwhile, the Sindh High Court chief justice and chairman of a body formed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan to monitor targeted killings in the city on Wednesday took notice of the killing of four people in the city, adds PPI.

Taking notice of the four killings near Nagan Chowrangi, Chief Justice Mushir Alam directed the Inspector-General of Sindh Police to submit a report to the committee.
