Karachi police claimed to have arrested four suspected target killers– File Photo

KARACHI: The city police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested four suspected target killers involved in murdering 73 people, DawnNews reported.

Clifton Police have taken into custody two suspects named Faisal Ansari and Daniyal after an exchange of fire in the area of Zamzama. Police also recovered two Kalashnikovs and two pistols from the suspects.

The police claimed that during investigation the two political workers had confessed to the killing of 34 people.

Meanwhile, Anti-Terrorism Cell of the Crime Investigation Department (CID) conducted a raid near Pirabad Graveyard of the Orangi Town and arrested two more workers Abeed alias Barasti and Tariq Mustafa alias Burger affiliated with a political party and recovered one Kalashnikov and two 9MM pistols from their possession.

SSP Chaudhry Aslam of the CID claimed that the two were involved in 39 cases of target killings.
