LAHORE, Oct 2: Another four patients died of dengue virus in the provincial capital on Sunday.

Reports said 65-year-old Kursheed Ahmad died of the virus at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Muhammad Saleem of GOR-II and Muhammad Sarwar of Gujranwala died at Mayo while 60-year-old Shahnaz Mushtaq of Walton Road succumbed to dengue virus at Lahore General Hospital.

Meanwhile, a health department report said some 228 new dengue cases were reported in Punjab, including 186 in Lahore alone. The total number of dengue fever cases has risen to 13,074 in Punjab, including 11,429 in Lahore alone.
