KASUR, April 17: A man who is alleged to have slaughtered his parents on Sunday in Jambar was hospitalised with critical injuries while police suspect the man tried to kill himself after killing his parents.

Police found the parents of Jabbar Masih -- Rafique Masih and Hameedan Bibi -- slaughtered at their home while Jabbar was found partially slaughtered in nearby fields.

Police shifted Jabbar to Pattoki Tehsil Headquarters Hospital where he was referred to Lahore Jinnah Hospital for his life-threatening injuries. Police sent the bodies to Pattoki Hospital for autopsy.

According to Sadar Phoolnagar police, the motive behind the killings had yet to be ascertained. Neighbours told police that a day before the incident Jabbar had a quarrel with his parents over some domestic issues.
