THATTA, March, 20: A hardened outlaw allegedly involved in 30 cases esca- ped on Sunday from the orthopaedic ward of the Makli Civil Hospital where he had been under treatment for fractured limbs for over a week.

DPO Fida Hussain Mastoi had constables Najam Khushk and Sikandar Khaskheli and jailor of police lock-up Iqbal Jokhio arrested and sent to lock-up after registration of a case against them.

Later police arrested the fugitive, Ali Hassan Cheerio, near Ibrahim Haidri after a brief encounter that left him injured.

Police sources said the outlaw was involved in more than 30 criminal cases.

He had become disabled due to severe fracture in both legs.
