Robbers kill man

TOBA TEK SINGH, Jan 12: Robbers shot dead a man for putting up resistance during a robbery in a Gojra village late on Tuesday night.

According to Gojra’s Sadar police, eight robbers stormed Zafar Pathan’s farmhouse in Chak 303-JB and tried to take away his cattle, but his worker Ghulam Mustafa put up resistance. The robbers shot him injured and fled. Mustafa later died of excessive bleeding.

Also, robbers looted valuables from Sarfraz Ahmad’s house in Faiz Colony. According to Ahmad, he and his wife had gone to bazaar when robbers barged in his house, held his family members hostage and took was Rs40,000 and gold ornaments worth of Rs500,000.

Robbers forced their entry into the house of late Khawar Manzoor in Gulberg Colony early on Wednesday morning, held his widow and children hostage and took away Rs15,000, cell phones and gold ornaments worth of Rs300,000.—Correspondent
