KARACHI: Pakistan’s Mohammad Sajjad maintained his winning run when he blanked Shuji Hase of Japan 4-0 on Wednesday to record his third successive win in the IBSF World snooker championship in Damascus, Syria.

Sajjad who is placed in group ‘A’ and has the honour of making the breaks of 110, 60 and 56 in the event so far, thrashed his Japanese opponent with ease.

Pakistan number one Imran Shahzad defeated Emir Yigit of Turkey 4-1.

Imran dropped the second frame to overhaul his rival 71-08, 45-66, 61-20, 123-0, 92-09 with a break of 100 in the fourth frame.

Sohail Shahzad playing his maiden global event recorded his best win when he defeated Alex Borg Malta 4-1.

He won 88-15, 25-85, 76-04, 82-22, 64-63.

Sohail drawn in group ‘L’ has won three of his four league games while Imran has won three and lost one in pool ‘H’.—APP
