KARACHI, Jan 3: Five ships to load/offload containers, cement, palm oil, diesel oil and chemicals were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Saturday.

Meanwhile, four more ships with containers, cement and palm oil also arrived at the outer anchorage. Seven ships, Maersk Novazzano, She Belle, Grand View, Capriole, AI-Deerah, Sigas Maud and Haadi, were busy in loading/offloading containers, cement, wheat, magnesium, diesel oil, VCM and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 67,341 tons comprising 49,980 tons of import and 17,361 tons of export was handled. AI-Badiyah, Capriole and Maersk Novazzano sailed out while AI-Deerah and Sigas Maud were expected to depart.
