HPS cagers on top

KARACHI, Dec 24: Hosts Habib Public School (HPS) on Wednesday finished on top of the table beating St Patrick’s School 42-38 in a well fought last league match of the Inter-school basketball championship at their own premises.

The Habibians amassed 12 points from four games in the five team contest. They now meet No 2 team, St Patrick’s in the final who ended up with nine points.

The HPS-St Patrick’s match turned out to be a keenly-contested affair with the former enjoying a slender 20-18 lead at half time. Mustafa Rizvi (12), Affan Arif (10) and Faisal Farooq (6) excelled for the winners while Taha Hussain top scored for the losers with 13.
