JACOBABAD, Dec 15: Three Sindh ministers visited the Hindu Panchayat Hall to offer condolence to a man on the killing of his son by robbers.

Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza, Local Government Minister Agha Siraj Durrani and Excise and Taxation Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla visited the Panchayat Hall on Sunday and offered condolence to Darshan Lal on the death of his son Sandeep Kumar, recently. Hundreds of Hindu community people were present in the hall.

General Secretary Hindu Panchayat, Srichand Bhawnani informed the ministers of deteriorating law and order situation in Jacobabad as kidnappings, dacoities, robberies and motorcycle snatchings were now order of the day. Population was living in total fear and awe with no breather in the sight, he said.

None, whether at homes, in offices, or on roads felt secured in the present situation, he said and complained lack of official support to Hindu community. The community leader revealed that some 75 per cent Hinuds were in business which made them an easy prey of such elements. “Our temples are now not safe as women often get deprived of their jewellery and other valuables,” he said.

President Chamber of Commerce Jacobabad Chapter, Ahmed Ali Brohi informed the ministers of the snatching of 200 tolas gold at gunpoint from Sarafa bazaar.

Home minister expressing his shock over the killing of the youngster said that there were standing orders to the DPO Jacobabad to shoot criminals found involved in heinous crimes as was ordered in Karachi. The copy of the order had been passed on to the DPO, he said.

“Maintenance of law and order is my priority for people gave mandate to the PPP,” he said with the promise to restore normality soon. The Minster announced Rs200,000 compensation to the aggrieved family.

Mr Durrani pledged to do all he can for nabbing the robbers in three days and solving the problems of Hindu people, along with bringing law and order under control.
