PESHAWAR, Dec 3: The NWFP government has decided to auction condemned and confiscated vehicles in the province.
Finance Minister Humayun Khan has directed the administration department in this regard to arrange auction of confiscated and condemned vehicles in time so that the vehicles could be soled out before subjecting them to further damage in the parking lots “as in this case the market value would be reduced, and the government’s income would suffer”.
Presiding over a meeting of the Auction Committee at the Conference Room of the Finance Department here on Wednesday, the minister said that due to delay in the auction of the vehicles, their market value would decrease, as the vehicles had no proper protection arrangement in the open-air parking areas.
Secretary Administration Col (retired) Ghulam Hussain, Secretary Excise and Taxation Sajid Khan Jadoon, SP Qasim Khan, additional and deputy secretaries of the administration and finance department attended the meeting.
