Murderer gets life term

RAWALPINDI, Nov 25: An additional sessions judge (ASJ) on Tuesday awarded life imprisonment to a murderer besides imposing Rs100,000 fine.

Arif Mehmood had killed his neighbour over a petty issue some two years back in the jurisdiction of Chontra police.

The court had already declared five other accused Abid Hussain, Khan Mohammad, Sajid Hussain, Mohammad Irfan and Naseer Ahmed as proclaimed offenders in the case.

Jahangir Khan the brother of the deceased lodged an FIR with Chontra Police alleging that the convict had shot dead Imran a few days after his brother had a brawl with Abid Hussain over a petty dispute.
