KARACHI: Transporters withdraw strike call


KARACHI, Nov 12: A representative delegation of the Karachi Transport Ittehad (KTI) and other organisations of public transport operators called on Sindh Minister for Transport Akhtar Hussain Jadoon to discuss their grievances. Later, the delegation announced withdrawal of their strike call for Nov 13.

The delegation said the minister held out the assurance that their genuine problems would be resolved.

The delegation took up with the minister the issue of compensation, growing incidents of highways robberies, extortion by police, etc.—APP
