ATTOCK, Nov 3: One person was killed and four others, including a woman, were injured in separate incidents at different areas of the district, police said on Monday.

According to the police, some eight armed persons attacked and killed Shaukat Zaman at Qutab Bandi village falling under the jurisdiction of Hazro police station.

The deceased was at an agriculture farm when he was attacked. He was seriously injured and shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters hospital Hazro where he succumbed to the injuries.

The police have registered a case against the accused and started investigation.

In another incident, a man injured his wife when she demanded tuition fee for their children. The police said they had sore relations with each other for some time.

According to Pindigheb police, three persons armed with axes injured Muhammad Latif over a land dispute. He was taken to the hospital.

Another man - Asmat Khan - was attacked and injured by a fellow villager at Basal over a minor dispute And according to the Hazro police some armed persons opened fire at Wajid Ali, injuring him critically.

He was later taken to the THQ hospital Hazro.—Correspondent
