Man courts arrest after killing wife

MULTAN, Oct 22: A man on Wednesday courted arrest after killing his wife in the name of honour at Davanran in Lodhran Sadar police precincts.

Liaquat Ali of Davanran killed his 45-year-old wife, Akhtari Begum, with a hoe on suspicion of illicit relations. Later, he went to the police station and courted arrest.

Police removed the body for autopsy and registered a case against him on the complaint of area lumbardar Umer Farooq.
