PMDC recognises KEMU plans

LAHORE, Sept 25: The Pakistan Medical Dental Council (PMDC) has recognised different post-graduate programmes of King Edward Medical University (KEMU).

The council issued a notification on Thursday. The recognised MPhil programmes include anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacology, forensic, medicine, microbiology, haematology, molecular biology and clinical pathology. MD programmes include internal medicine, psychiatry, heurology, paediatrics, dermatology, gastroenterology, cardiology, radiology, oncology, preventive medicine and family medicine. MS programmes include general surgery, thoracic surgery, cardiac surgery, paediatric surgery and anesthesia, orthopaedic, gyneocology, ophthalmology, ENT and neurosurgery.

MBBS SCHEDULE: The University of Health Sciences announced the schedule of third professional MBBS annual examination.

According a university notification, the examination for the students of Allama Iqbal Medical College Lahore, College of Medicine and Dentistry University of Lahore, Faisalabad Medical College Faisalabad, FMH College of Medicine and Dentistry in Lahore, Lahore Medical and Dental College in Lahore, Nishtar Medical College in Multan, Punjab Medical College in Faisalabad, Quaid-i-Azam Medical College in Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi Medical College in Rawalpindi, Services Institute of Medical Services in Lahore, Shaikh Zayed Medical College in Rahim Yar Khan and Wah Medical College Wah Cantt will commence on Oct 10, 2008.
