Minor kidnapped for Rs500

SHEIKHUPURA, Sept 22: A man kidnapped a five-year-old boy to settle a Rs500 dispute in Imamia Colony on Monday.

Shah Raza, the father of kidnapped Pervaiz, had borrowed Rs500 from Rauf, the alleged kidnapper, some time ago, but failed to return the amount. To settle the amount, Rauf kidnapped Raza’s son Pervez. Ferozewala police are investigating.

dacoity bids: Dacoits killed one landlord and injured a shopkeeper in dacoity bids on Monday.

Five dacoits barged in to the house of Afzal, a landlord of Bhule Dasal, Ferozewala. When Afzal challenged the intruders, they opened fire killing him instantly.

In Muridke, dacoits broke into the shop of Amjad Hussain and asked him handover cash to them. When Amjad tried to resist them, the dacoits opened fire injuring him critically. Later, they collected Rs22,000 and fled.

Four armed men looted Rs42,000 from Qadeer Medical Store in Muridke and fled. Police have registered cases and are investigating. —Correspondent
