PTCL cables damaged

ISLAMABAD, Sept 13: The underground cable network of the Pakistan Telecommunication Company (PTCL) had been damaged due to construction work on Burma Bridge on Lehtrar Road, Rawalpindi, and Blue Area in Islamabad, a spokesperson for the company said here on Saturday.

Nearly 150 connections were disrupted and about 445 connections were also affected due to the work being carried out at Blue Area.

He said some persons had cut down two pieces of cables of 200 and 600 pairs at Tarlai exchange area and 900 pairs at telephone exchange north. The PTCL staff had started restoration work, he added.
