Shahid excels in AKU event

KARACHI, Sept 9: NIB Bank overpowered Standard Chartered Bank by five wickets in the AKU Twenty20 Ramazan cricket tournament match at the AKU Ground on Monday.

Shahid Hussain was the hero in NIB Bank’s win displaying a superb all-round show. Shahid captured two wickets for 19 and later steered his team to a comfortable win, cracking an unbeaten 71 studded with seven sixes and three fours. NIB Bank reached the 157-run target for the loss of five wickets in 17.5 overs.

Earlier, Kamran Ahmed struck an unbeaten 72 as Standard Chartered reached 156-8 in the stipulated 20 overs.
