NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Sept 7: Police freed a kidnapped youth after an encounter with his kidnappers near Bachoo Khaskheli village in the Khan Wahan area on Sunday, DPO Nisar Ahmed Channa said.

Shahid Arain, 23, said he had been kidnapped 14 days ago, and the kidnappers had been threatening to kill him if his family did not pay Rs500,000 ransom.

The DPO said that a kidnapper had been arrested but three others had escaped.——BoC
