LANDI KOTAL, Sept 3: Suspected militants attacked the Ziarai checkpost, some 20km from here, on Wednesday and kidnapped a subedar and five Khasadars.
Sources said the militants took away the six personnel, who were manning the post near Bazai in Zakhakhel area of Landi Kotal tehsil.
The militants also set a Khasadar vehicle on fire.
On Sunday, security forces had expelled the Lashkar-i-Islam men from Landi Kotal after an exchange of fire.
