KARACHI, Sept 1: Four ships carrying containers, palm oil and chemicals were accommodated berths on Sunday, said a PQA press release on Monday.

Meanwhile, another ship with palm oil also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Nine ships, Scotland, Bux Lagoon, Bernice, Orient-II, ST Mark, Chem Star Hero, Sea Lion, Sinar Agra and Gem of Rozi, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, palm oil, furnace oil, chemicals and coke.

A cargo volume of 77,369 tons comprising 71,590 tons of import and 5,776 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Chemroute Sun, Scotland, Bux Lagoon and Sea Lion sailed out while ST Mark and Sinar Agra were expected to leave the port.
