ISLAMABAD, Aug 30: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has further extended the date for online submission of sales tax and federal excise return to September 5 for the tax period July 2008.

A sales tax circular no 07 of 2008 issued here, however, said that the last date for payment of due taxes shall remain unchanged at August 20. The date for payment of due taxes had already been extended.

An official announcement of the FBR said that no further extension for the tax period under review shall be allowed. Therefore, the taxpayers are requested to avail this last extension and file their returns.
